Honda Civic Jordan Limited Edition – Seat Restoration

A Rare Interior, Brought Back to Life

The Honda Civic Jordan is a true collector’s car, with only 500 ever produced. Its striking black-and-yellow leather interior is instantly recognisable — but after years of use, these seats were showing serious age. The yellow leather centre panels were cracked and weakened, the black bolsters scuffed, and the overall finish had lost its impact.

Our client wanted the seats restored to reflect the car’s rare heritage, while keeping everything original.

The Challenge

  • Prominent cracking across the yellow leather centre panels

  • Structural weakening of the hide in high-wear areas

  • Scuffed and abraded black bolsters

  • Restore without replacing panels, keeping originality intact

Our Process

Deep Clean & Prep
All leather surfaces were carefully deep-cleaned to remove ingrained dirt and oils, preparing the seats for full restoration.

Yellow Centre Panels – Major Restoration
The most significant work was on the yellow leather panels:

  • The cracked and fatigued surfaces were stripped back to bare hide.

  • The weakened leather was strengthened and stabilised to restore its structure.

  • A series of specialist fillers were applied to rebuild the surface.

  • Finally, the panels were recoloured with custom-mixed dyes to precisely match the original Civic Jordan yellow.

Black Bolsters – Refinishing
The black side bolsters, while less severe, had scuffs and light cracks. These were repaired, smoothed, and refinished for a uniform, factory-correct look.

Protective Finish
A satin protective top coat was applied across all leather surfaces, sealing in the restoration and ensuring durability for future use.

The Results

  • Yellow panels structurally strengthened and restored to vibrant, original colour

  • Black bolsters smoothed, recoloured, and seamlessly blended

  • Factory-correct appearance maintained without any replacement parts

  • Interior transformed while preserving originality and heritage

Aftercare Advice

To maintain the restored seats:

  • Clean with a pH-balanced leather cleaner

  • Condition every 3–6 months to keep leather supple

  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure

✨ The result? A rare set of Honda Civic Jordan seats fully revitalised — with the most challenging cracked yellow panels stripped back, rebuilt, and refinished to their original glory.
